My inquiry project is on childhood stars and deviance. When I was thinking of possible questions and topics to inquire into, deviance is exactly what popped into my head. Why do most of these stars tend to be in the news for something that they did out of the norm or to break the law? After I formed my own opinions, I found information to back them up. It was not easy to find possible reasons to why we see this kind of behavior in childhood stars; in fact, it took several days for me to find articles and documentaries on this topic. I learned that these actions and behaviors could be from a number of things. These starts could be acting out for attention, money/fame, as a result of a shorten childhood, because their parents weren’t strict, and even psychological reasons.

 

The inquiry process is not a very easy one, but it is also not too difficult. You definitely have to be interested in the topic that you choose because you will be spending a lot of time finding information and writing on it. The hardest part, in my opinion, was having to state most of my own opinion in the paper. I am used to having to have most things that I write be more academic and just stating your research, as opposed to adding your opinion. I think that I picked an interesting topic, and I was very engaged in the research and the digital portion from start to finish.
