Hi! I am Keondra Jones and I am a freshman here at The University of North Carolina Charlotte. I am 18 years old and the oldest of 6 other children. I enjoy both playing and watching sports; I play both volleyball and basketball. I am currently majoring in Pre-Biology and I aspire to be an Obstetrician Gynecologist when I am done with school. I really enjoy helping others.The purpose of my portfolio is to show my growth as a writer and how I have developed and learned new skills throughout English 1102. While navigating through the tabs of my portfolio, you will see some of my best writings and the processes that it takes to get to the next stage in each piece that I write. I have set my portfolio up into six different tabs, all showing a different aspect of how I plan, think, and write when it comes to my assignments. Which brings me to the theme of my portfolio, The “To-Do List”. I chose this theme for my portfolio because my writing truly is a to-do list. I have to plan out all the steps that I will have to complete for a certain assignment in order to get it done properly, in a timely fashion. The “My Process” section shows this critical step in my writing the most and how I go from one thing to the next to come up with my finished product. Sometimes it takes me more than one draft and sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes I have to outline what I want my paper to be like and sometimes I don’t. It all depends on what I am writing and the difficulty of the assignment. I hope you get a better understanding of my theme and processes as you navigate through my portfolio! Enjoy :)
